A Robyn Howley blogging update

’ve been struggling for about six months now with what to write about on here. I’ll be honest, writing novels has taken up most of my attention, as well as changing jobs (more on that in a later post) and family stuff.

However, I came to the realisation a few days ago, that I miss this.

The digital marketing world’s changing, yes, no-one can argue with that.

But just because everything’s going towards video and streaming and binge-watching, that doesn’t mean that blogging, in its entirety, has died, in my opinion at least (please don’t @ me).

So, in the spirit of doing something I f-ing enjoy, here it is, episode 0 in a new blog series.

Now, disclaimer, I can in no way claim credit for the titles of the blog posts. Well, some are slightly reworded.

Never mind Robyn, focus on what’s important.

These’re all inspired by the wonderful Sacha Black and Daniel Willcocks, two amazing business owners and entrepreneurs, who used to run (cry) the Next Level Author podcast.

Writers, you might know of them already. If you don’t, check out Sacha at sachablack.co.uk, or Dan at Activated Authors.

Readers, just know, they’re amazing human beings, and they’re living the lives I’m working towards, right now.

Anyway, back on track, each of the blog posts in this series are based on the questions they asked each other in their YouTube videos/podcast series

I really do feel like it’s a great way for me to assess where I’m at, where I want to be, and share what it’s like behind the scenes as a creative entrepreneur, author and business owner, who still has a normal day job.

Coming in the next few weeks and months, I’ll be going over topics including:

  • Definitions of success
  • Dealing with imposter syndrome (hint, not well)
  • Ideal morning routines
  • Plans for the future
  • Dealing with overwhelm
  • Managing business and personal lives
  • Plus much, much more

The Stranger in the Square Promised a Cure

It was the kind of morning that doesn’t quite belong to any season. Still. Quiet. Heavy. And in the centre of Eldmere, the stranger appeared. No one saw him arrive. One moment the square was empty. The next, there he stood—his gleaming cart arranged in perfect symmetry, lined with bottles that shimmered like twilight, each

Ash Lane Wasn’t There Yesterday

Some roads lead home. Others… lead you somewhere else entirely. Ash Lane wasn’t there yesterday. The street simply appeared—slick with damp, glistening cobblestones that hadn’t seen light in years. No road signs. No markings. Just a narrow cut through the heart of Eldmere like a wound that had suddenly reopened. No one saw it arrive.
